Hey Guys!!!
it has been forever since I've posted here and I've been dying to get back into blogging!
I have been doing a little research on what kind of human foods are safe for me to share with my boys, and which ones i should just keep to myself.
I was quite surprised at which ones were actually deemed not okay to share.
i would like to share my findings with you in hopes of creating healthier pups throughout my readers
so lets get started
SAFE:
- Blueberries. although we are not very big blueberry eaters in this house its good to know that on that rare occasion that i have some in the fridge i can share with the boys.
- Strawberries. we love strawberries especially when they are in season..yet another fruit i can share with the dogs.
- Eggs. while this isnt new information to me as i feed my dogs eggs alot, i did learn that you can feed them raw eggs as well as egg shells....i will probably just stick to plain old scrambled eggs but good to know.
- Apples. i have tried feeding both dogs apples and neither of them will have anything to do with them, but yet again another thing you can share if they will take it,
- Peanut butter. Both of my dogs LOVE peanut butter. i actually fill their kong treat dispensing toys with PB and let them go to town licking it out.
- Cantaloupe. we arent big cantaloupe eaters here but if cantaloupe is your thing then rest assured that you can give into those big sad eyes.
- Bananas. once again, both of my dogs love bananas although i HATE them.
Unsafe:
- Avocado
- Bread dough
- Chocolate
- Ethanol (grain alcohol, ethyl alcohol, or drinking alcohol)
- Grapes and Raisins
- Hops (the beer kind, not bunnies)
- Macadamia nuts
- Moldy Foods (But who will clean out the fridgerator now:))
- Onions
- Xylitol (Most commonly found in chewing gum and sugar free baked goods
most of the ones i came across were common sense, this is the list of ones i thought were the most out of the ordinary and people might like to know.
will post again if i come across anymore that are interesting..
Thanks for Reading
